What is a quartz watch?
Quartz watches are battery-operated and use a quartz crystal as a clock
That is, the battery sends electricity to the quartz crystal, which as a result oscillates at a constant frequency of 32,768 times per second. This oscillation is converted by a circuit into regular pulses that enable very precise timekeeping with only a few seconds of deviation per month and move the hands.
Quartz watches are also robust, low-maintenance and often multifunctional
Electric watches - especially classic quartz watches - are often operated by batteries. For the sake of the environment, we offer many electric wristwatches in our shop that are powered by solar cells as an environmentally friendly alternative.
